I am – unashamedly – a massive nerd. I live surrounded by a plethora of (mostly 80s) toys and memorabilia. I have an impressive collection of Transformers and Indiana Jones action figures. I occasionally channel this affliction by creating designs just for the hell of it.

Book designs

If you are unfamiliar with the multi-talented (and multi-named) Michael Marshall – also known as Michael Marshall and Michael Rutger, then you should go out and grab as many of his books as possible! Below are two spec designs I did for his first two novels, Only Forward and Spares.

Blender renders

Here are some of my ham-fisted attempts at 3D modelling. I have to give a huge shout-out to Blender Guru on YouTube, after several attempts at using Blender, it was his doughnut tutorial that finally allowed me to make sense of everything.

Book designs

I absolutely adore Jeff Vandermeer’s Southern Reach novels. At the time I created these, the series was a trilogy, but there are now four books – the new one Absolution was published in 2004. I created these simply to frame and stick up on my wall!
